Video Portfolio

Welcome to my videography portfolio! I found my love for videography through

storytelling and journalism. If you're interested in my journalism experience, click here!

I enjoy video in many forms and settings, not just reporting. I have experience in both commercial and narrative video sets. I have worked on a documentary, advertisements, and done photography for senior portraits as well as worked on two 48-hour film sets, both of which I had an assisting or lead editing position. In my opinion, some of the best parts of the process are in post-prodution. My favorite part is watching the final product come together and put the finishing details on. I also enjoy shooting and have varied expeirence with production and preproduction elements, so I would be best described as a jack of all trades.

One of my best strengths is my ability to connect and work with others. I consider myself to have strong soft skills like communication, problem solving, and leadership.

Promotional Product Video-

Arizona Iced Tea Edit

This video piece is one of the few that I am most proud of. Of course, there are things to fix but I came out with a great result given the tools I had. The inspiration I had for this video was from a TikTok trend, which influenced the music and the style. The fast pace and the editing effects proved a challenge at first but with help, I learned new techniques and skills to make my idea happen.

Scene Recreation- Monty Python

This video project is a great example of several skills for me. I worked in a group of seven students to make this happen. On this project I had a variety of roles, including actor, director, editor, and costume design & production. I learned a lot on this project and had lots of fun.

Music Video

This was an earlier project of mine that I directed, produced, and acted in. It was definitely a learning experience at that point for me, but I am still really proud of how it turned out.

Short Film- The Letter

I wrote, directed, produced and edited this two minute short. In class we were given the assignment to film a walking sequence from any two points, and my group decided to use a horror theme. Our choice of wide versus close shots and use of moving shots makes this a unique piece in my portfolio.

Stylized Edit- Knowledge

Similar to the above Arizona Iced Tea edit, this video was also inspired by TikTok. I used the style and song of a current trend and used stock NTWC footage to achieve my result. This was a very dramatic style of editing compared to most of my work, but I loved the change and the creativity it allowed me.

Edit- Nature (to music)

I love nature, and this was a video I shot and edited all in the same day. Creativity struck when I saw how foggy it was outdoors and I rushed to get out there with my gear before it was melted away by the sun. This video uses similar concepts as the above education edit, but has a more leisurely pace and slow atmosphere due to the music. I used some new techniques in this video, like chroma keying and keyframed cropping.
